des Fosses Rouges

I’ve first met Benoit Savigny in a cellar, in Amboise. We’ve been drinking and talking together, and immediately had a really good feeling. He used to be a brilliant architect before he becomes a winegrower. Few month ago, he bought a vineyard in Troo city and with the complicity of Bénédicte de Ricke, they now have the appellations “Jasnières” and “Coteaux du Loir”.
The wine
At the moment, the appellations “Coteaux du Loir” and “Jasnières”, but few more to come after new plantations in Troo city, as “Coteaux du Vendemmois”(white, red and rosé), more to follow…
My favorite: Jasnières “Benedictus”, 2014. Lovely freshness and fineness..
A potential to forget in the cellar!
